Find the Right Fence Experts

What to look for when picking your fence contractor

Personally, when I'm looking at a business or contractor. the first thing I'm looking for is years of service to our community. The longer they have a positive impression, means they care about their customers and their image.

As to see a copy of their certificate of insurance. Sometimes its good to have to sent fresh to you with your name on it to make sure its still an active policy.

Always ask what type of fasteners they will be using on your fence. We always use 3 inch coated screws to attach the structural components of the fence finished off with 2 inch ring shanked hot dipped galvanized nails to attach fence boards. This should be the minimum standard.

Ask about payment schedules. My business only takes a deposit upon material hitting your yard and the remaining balance once the project is complete. Proceed with caution if any other arrangments are asked of you.

Timing is crucial. Or fences contain our beloved pets and offer an additional layer of security. When a fence is being repaired or replaced you will be exposed for a period of time. Some contractors will load up on judos and move back and forth working on jobs. you want to make sure once your project has been started, that they will dedicate their working hours, solely to get you completed.

Warranty is an easy one. Make sure you get a written warranty. The longer the better and a company that has been around longer potentially have better building practices and care about maintaining customer replationships.

"Find joy in the things you do for a living and people will recognize your exceptional ability ."

Rules of Fence Maintenance

Pay attention to your gates. If they start to drag, this can cause issues to the structural integrity of the gate. A simple fix if caught early can save you from having to replace your gate in the near future.

Things to look for with your aging fence.

Be careful not to pile mulch up to your fence. This can allow build up of organic material against your fence and cause it to prematurely rot out.

Also, this can block the natural flow of water casing flooding on your's or your neighbor's property.

Do not lean heavy items against your fence. Doing so can cause warping of the lumber.

Staining/sealing can help extend the life of your fence. Pay attention to the frequency rate on how often this should be done in your area. This will help maintain the fence as it ages.

The benefits of going to composite decking over treated wood.

Composite deck boards are designed to look like natural wood board while keeping the initial beauty for years after the product is installed.

The composite material has enhanced UV properties to keep its original color.

Doesn't warp or cup like treated boards can do

.WIth the hidden fastening system, there its beauty from not having to see nails or screws on the face of you deck boards. No more nails popping up and being a tripping hazard.
